I had some coupons that I tried to use at Giant Eagle, and although they were scanned, they didn't come off my total. When I called Giant Eagle, they informed me to come back to the store with my receipt. That was a waste of time because, because they never did a comparison with the coupons, only stating that maybe they came off under a different item. When I explained that I had 2 of certain coupons, and one was from P&G Brand and the other was... Read more

Today after purchasing many grocery items I noticed a beautiful unique bonsai tree on my way out near the garden center, and was contemplating on buying it or another one that looked healthier. I asked some nearby store associates their opinion but opinions were split. I purchased the healthy one then, but still was taken by the 1st one so I looked at it again, & noticed a woman passing that I recognized from a company I have been interviewing... Read more

My point: Cold beer. Brentwood's GE has none; not outside the coolers, not inside the coolers. How is it that the Waterfront GE's beer is so cold that, in this weather, it is STILL COLD when I get back to Whitehall? Turn the cooler up, Brentwood, or just leave all the beer stacked on the floor.

Always busy with one cashier working and taking the customers orders. Fryer for the chicken either broke or orders are cooked before customers that are waiting in line. I come here every week and its the same thing waiting for chicken and fish for over half an hour. This place sucks big time always short staffed or out of food by 600 o clock. Yesterday (8/4/16) I bought Mcintosh apples and a red bell pepper. The apples were mushy and the pepper was moldy inside. I threw them away. Today I bought grapes and they were moldy but this time I returned them for a refund. I have been shopping at Giant Eagle for many years and have had to throw away many items. I also stopped buying steaks because half the time they are full of gristle. I also don't like being asked for donations at the... Read more

Disappointed - apparently the e-advantage weekly purchase is only good for one purchase one time in a week. The ad does not specify, nor is it posted, but apparently the store charges you for the e -advantage if you go to the store more than once a week.

Check the date on all products at these Giant Eagles. They sell items that have expired. Plus, they wrap old meat with new meat so when you get the ground beef home, the inside of it is completely brown and stinks. The Giant Eagle further down on Frankstown Ave in Penn Hills is nasty too. We call it "black" Giant Eagle. They're are a lot of black people down there yelling and fighting most time. Loud music played in cars and there is an armed... Read more

I like to use the self serve checkout and I always bring my own reusable bags. When I start checkout I press 'use my own bag' and then 'one bag' and, then the process comes to a halt. The system locks up and a clerk has to come and reprogram so I can proceed. Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it is quite a while. I am uncomfortable because soon those in line behind me start to comment as they are in a hurry to checkout. It seems like... Read more

I think giant eagle is in the process of ripping off the public. Yesterday I bought chocolate eclair ice cream. The pmg clearly marked six within. There were only five. Today I bought their coated paper plates. 100 clearly marked. There were only 90. I know they stick together, but I pulled each and everyone apart and counted them. So, my question is, how much more of this is going on? I'll be watching and reporting this. I'm... Read more

Their prices are outageous. One example: Their sale price on Paul Newman organic ground coffee is the REGULAR price in other stores like Kroger. Almost $3.00 a bag more. If Kroger can make a profit (or even break even) at $5.00 a bag that means Giant Eagle is making is raking us at five bucks a bag. Another example: they charge almost $13.00 for t he very same bottle of organic olive oil that Walmart sells for less than SIX DOLLARS. I am so done... Read more
